The vision of the Institute is to become one of the leading science and technology centers of the world in the field of applied researches.


In line with national development goals, the institute has adopted the mission of developing knowledge, technology and products that help improve the food industry technologically, boost the competitive power, reduce foreign-source dependency, ensure food safety and eliminate nutrition problems.

Quality Policy

The quality policy of the institute is based on the efforts for technically/technologically development of the Food Industry by providing Research/Development, test/analysis, training and consulting services in the field of food science and technology and by ensuring continuous improvement through its accurate and reliable services which fulfill the clients’ expectations.

The Food Institute provides its client with high quality services meeting the requirements of regulatory quality standards, including EN ISO 9001:2000 on Quality Management System, EN ISO/IEC 17025 on General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories, TS 18001 on Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Standard and ISO 14001 on Environmental Management Systems Standard.

The laboratories of the Food Institute was accredited by DAR/DAP in 2002 and by TÜRKAK (Turkish Accreditation Agency) in 2011.
